A flag that lacked refinement inspired me to take on this topic and create an alternative design. The project is a personal initiative — a conceptual, non-commercial exploration.
What is Liberland?
The Free Republic of Liberland is a self-proclaimed sovereign state located between Croatia and Serbia.
Liberland came into existence as a result of a border dispute between the two countries. The area along the western bank of the Danube River was not claimed by either Croatia, Serbia, or any other nation. It was therefore considered terra nullius — no man’s land — until Vít Jedlička seized the opportunity and, on April 13, 2015, founded a new state on this territory: Liberland.
