Sometimes you miss the deadline for an exciting design competition — no problem! I turned it into my own conceptual, non-commercial project instead. Compare my design with the officially submitted entries and form your own opinion — I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Two referendums were held by the New Zealand Government in November / December 2015 and March 2016 to determine the nation’s flag. In the first referendum, voters selected their preferred alternative design. The winning design then advanced to the second referendum, where it competed against the existing New Zealand flag. The result: voters chose to retain the current national flag.
